R3SPECT
R3SPECT SRO · Game guide

Every change,
every rule.

What R3SPECT changed in Silkroad, chapter by chapter, with the numbers. Short on time? The front page has the short version, and the economy page explains honor and Elements.

Chapter 1

What R3 switched on

The files this server started from had whole regions dark and systems half-wired. These are the ones we brought back — the original game, the way it was meant to run.

Continents

The whole map

Alexandria, the Storm Desert, the Holy Water Temple, Jupiter, King's Valley, Pharaoh and Thief Village — regions that never loaded on the stock files — are open.

Dungeons

Pharaoh, all day

The Tomb of Pharaoh takes up to 100 entries a day instead of two. Baghdad opens from level 121.

Level 130

A real endgame

Level cap 130 with Degree 15 gear at the top — every skill and item in the client works up to it.

Shambhala

The newest temples

The Mortifying Monk in the Taklamakan takes you to the Ice Temple, the Ancient Prophet in Hotan and Baghdad to the Temple of Destruction, from level 125. The Fire Temple opens with the next level cap.

Skills

Fixed where it was broken

The Warrior Screen skills are back on their original 3-minute cooldown, not the 10 minutes the files shipped with.

Chat

Global without the wait

The global chat cooldown is one second, not a minute. Say it when it matters.

Fellow pets

Back in the fight faster

Summoning sickness after death is 10 seconds, the STR/INT buff cools down in 30, and the SROR Macro revives and re-summons your Fellow even with a pick pet or horse out.

Buffs

Kept through death

Your own buffs survive death and teleport, and so do the honor-rank buffs. They now keep their true remaining time, too.

Honest content

Only what iSRO has

What official iSRO has, R3 has. What it doesn't, we remove — the RIGID-only Shipwreck dungeons and crafting recipes go, and so does the old junk on unique drops.

Chapter 2

Trade

The classic Silkroad trade, rebuilt around honor. Two jobs, three roles: the Trader and the Escort are Hunters, the Thief is a Thief. Without a job suit you are a normal player: no goods, no Thief Town, no trade rewards.

The jobs

Joining

Hunter or Thief

One job per account, chosen at the job NPC of any town — they sell the suits too. Every job character already has the highest promotion — no gold or Shining Stones needed.

Life in the suit

  • Changing job keeps your job level, EXP and promotion. Job skills are removed (official) and can be learned again for 0 SP.
  • Put the suit on before you join a party — it can't be worn while in one.
  • Hunters and Thieves in their suits fight without PK penalty.
  • With a trade vehicle out you can't teleport or use return scrolls (official). Thieves are the exception: the den scroll and the secret gates.
  • After a fight, wait 10 seconds (was 20) before summoning a vehicle, mounting, stealth or the job suit.

Trading — Hunter suit and caravan

  1. Summon your caravan (Caravan Bugle) and talk to the town's Specialty Trader: Jodaesan (Jangan), Leegak (Donwhang), Sanmok (Hotan), Toson (Samarkand), Tina (Constantinople), Wasdi (Alexandria).
  2. The shop and your caravan open side by side. Ctrl+Click a good, or drag it onto the caravan, and pick an amount or a star level. Every good costs 1 honor; a caravan carries 33. Buying starts the run.
  3. Once a day per character the merchant gives you one free load of 33 goods. Its goods show "Free trade" in the tooltip — and a thief who steals them gets no honor for them. The free-load notice shows once per login.
  4. Drive to the Specialty Trader of another town, open the shop and press Sell All. Every good pays its own route; goods never sell in the town they came from.

Example: 33 Jangan goods sold in Hotan pay 33 × 3.02 = 100 honor for the 33 you paid. A good the selling town's workshop needs pays up to 1.5× — see the workshops.

Escorts and recovery

Hunter suit

The escort reward

Be in the trader's party, wear the Hunter suit and stand near the trader (party EXP range) when they press Sell All: you get 30% of that sale on top. It never comes out of the trader's pay, and joining late still counts.

Several escorts each get 30%, but all escorts together never get more than 100% of a sale. A message tells you every reward.

When the caravan falls

The run goes on

  • The goods drop and stay on the ground for 10 minutes.
  • Summon a new caravan and pick them up again — they still pay.
  • Any Hunter near the trader can pick up the trader's fallen goods: they go straight back into the trader's caravan.
  • Goods won back sell normally, even after the run has ended.

Thieves — the ambush, the escape, the den

  1. Wear the Thief suit and summon your merchant pipe — it holds 33 goods, like a caravan. Thieves can't summon the trade caravan, and goods can't be bought into a pipe.
  2. Select a caravan — or its Hunter — and a panel shows what it carries, how many goods are from a free load, and what each pays at the den. Caravans carrying goods the den wants — and their Hunter — carry a gold sigil above them (one sigil while the Hunter rides). Only thieves in the suit see it.
  3. Bring the caravan down and pick up its goods: they go into your pipe.
  4. Escape to Thief Town: the Bandit Den Return Scroll (1 honor at every Smuggler and at the dealer) takes 60 seconds to cast and works with your pipe and its goods. Or the secret gates — Gisaeng Yumi in Jangan and Soldier Kartino in Constantinople — which only show the way to thieves in the suit.
  5. At the Stolen Goods Dealer press Sell All in your pipe window: you get back the 1 honor stake of every stolen good plus 60% of its average city route, and up to ×1.5 more when the den forge needs it. Goods you bought yourself and free-load goods pay nothing.
The "Trade" chat tab

Thief tips

The Valor chat tab is now Trade. Thieves in the suit get tips about caravans on the road, some time after the trader left town:

LoadTip
1 starnone
2 starsafter 5 min
3 starsafter 3 min, eastern or western goods
4 starsafter 8 min, goods and town
5 starsafter 6 min, goods and town

The trader hears how many different thieves were told. When the goods are sold, thieves hear the trade has ended.

Thieves only

Thief Town

Thief Town is for thieves again: gates, scroll and teleport turn away anyone without the Thief suit.

The Stolen Goods Dealer also sells the den's own Elements of Destruction. The den forge has three recipes — Mixed, Eastern and Western, four goods each — and the one with the most complete sets in stock is the one at work. The thieves decide what the den makes by what they bring; the dealer's panel shows all three.

Panels, skills and tougher caravans

Store panel

Beside every merchant

A Specialty Trader, the Stolen Goods Dealer or the R3 Store shows a panel beside the shop: the goods' selling rates, what the town's workshop needs, how much it pays and whether it is producing.

Caravan panel

Where is my load wanted?

Beside the caravan's inventory: for every good you carry, the towns that want it and about how much they pay — and "Whole load sells best in …".

Job skills

Level 2 and 3

The job skills the client used to hide: Iron Skin Lv2/Lv3 (caravan HP +25% / +30%), High Speed Lv2/Lv3, Merchant Pipe Lv7. Learned in the skill window for 0 SP, by job level. Only one skin counts.

Vehicles

Three times tougher

Caravans and pipes have 3× their max HP, so today's gear needs about as many hits as the old gear did. The big caravan holds 922,884 HP — about 1.2 million with Iron Skin 3.

Rewards

Honor only

The old pearl and Blue/Black Stone trade rewards are off. The trade job bag, the old Specialty Goods Boxes and consignment trade are gone.

Notices

One line per load

Buying many goods in a row prints one "Trade load" line instead of one per item.

Chapter 3

Uniques & bosses

Every unique is rebuilt for a server of maxed-out characters: the level, health and defence of a real endgame boss, skills that match its level, and elite guards when its health falls. They drop gold, Elements of Destruction and Sabakun's jewels — the old junk drops are gone — and pay honor.

Honor, Elements and jewels per kill, shared by the parties that fought. Elements and jewels stay 10 minutes on the ground. A unique can drop up to 250 items.

Who gets paid

The honor split

  • Up to 4 parties (or solo players) are paid, chosen by damage.
  • A party needs at least 10% of the damage and 80% of an equal share — 40% with two parties, about 27% with three, 20% with four. The top party always qualifies.
  • Honor is split by damage between the paid parties and equally inside a party. Pets' damage counts for their owner.
  • Every payout prints "[n] Honor Points gained." and counts toward your crest title.
Fair fights

No pulling, no vanishing

  • World uniques and the Temple of Destruction bosses can't be pulled more than 100 range from home — past that they walk back with their health intact.
  • Every unique a boss calls in, and every unique on the way to a main boss, sits at the player cap (130) — strong, not one-shot.
  • Big bosses no longer disappear when you stand under a wing or tilt the camera up, and on the Roc summit, in the temple rooms and in Medusa's tomb you see them from further away.

The event bosses

Mt. Roc

Roc & Death Bone

  • The gate opens every 12 minutes (on the hour, :12, :24, :36, :48).
  • Break the seal stones; the Roc appears 3 minutes after the last one. When the Roc dies, Death Bone rises.
  • After Death Bone dies you have 10 minutes to loot, then everyone returns to town. After a Roc kill the gate stays closed for 3 hours.
Qin-Shi Tomb

BeakYung the White Viper

  • Opens every 12 minutes (:06, :18, :30, :42, :54); closed for 3 hours after she dies.
  • Guardians, the Flame Master and the trial gates first, then her chamber. Her snake buffs stack — official, kept.
  • Both events: one group at a time, 10 minutes without hitting a monster ends the event, 6 hours at most, 10-minute loot window.
The Job Temple

Always open to job suits

  • Every room is open to Hunters and Thieves in their suit, everyone together — no points, no faction lock.
  • Selket, Neith, Anubis, Isis and Haroeris come back 3 hours after they die. When Haroeris dies, Seth's room opens.
  • Haroeris and Seth stand out of reach: their treasure box drops the loot, to the top-damage group.
  • The temple's area-point window is gone — points mean nothing when every room is open — and temple monsters no longer drop temple coins.
Temple of Destruction

The four of the newest temple

  • Reckless Big Spider — Wind Spiders every 10 minutes, clones itself after 30 minutes of fighting.
  • Devil of Lamp — Snake Women and Ghost Specters as her health falls; lightning above half health, fire below.
  • Hell Khulood — Cerberus and Hell Defenders at 50%, Flame Cow Kings and Earth Ghosts at 25%.
  • Awakening Death Bone — rises when the last of the three falls. The strongest boss on R3.
Chapter 4

Fortress War

Twice the wars, every fortress open, and a fresh start.

Schedule

Thursday and Sunday

Server time (UTC)
Notice17:30
War18:00 – 20:00
ApplicationsMon → Thu war, Fri → Sun war

18:00 UTC is 19:00 in Central Europe in winter (from 25 October) and 20:00 in summer. Twice the wars means twice the occupation rewards each week.

The fortresses

All four, fresh

  • Jangan, Bandit, Hotan and Constantinople all take guild applications. The Jangan clerk handles Jangan and Bandit.
  • At the update every fortress loses its old owner — guilds that haven't played since 2018 — and starts fresh.
  • Structures have 3× their HP (defence as official). Battering rams and catapults have 3× HP, defence and attack.
Chapter 5

Survival Arena

Open around the clock: Last Man Standing, Deathmatch and Party 2v2, 4v4 and 8v8, all paying honor. The match rules, the honor table and the crest titles are on the front page.

Queue

30 seconds to sign up

Each new sign-up adds 30 seconds, never more than a minute and a half. Solo matches need 8 players to pay honor.

Rules

A fair fight

No stealth or invisibility. Berserk only in Deathmatch and Party. Opponents are masked as "Challenger"; party team mates keep their names.

Honor

Spend it monthly

Unspent honor resets on the 1st. Your crest title counts this month's honor — arenas and uniques together.

EXP

Every kill pays EXP

An arena kill gives the EXP of one Elite of your level — in the Survival Arena and the Battle Arena.

Fair honor

No farming

A character who dies more than 5 times without killing anyone gives no kill honor to his killers. His own kill resets the count. Placings and winners don't change.

The queue

Never stuck

After 20 minutes in the queue without a match you're dropped with a message and can sign up again. Logging out, leaving town, teleporting or changing world cancels. The old "Survival Arena will begin" notices are gone; Deathmatch stays 10 minutes.

Chapter 6

EXP, drops & levelling

R3 pushes you into uniques, trade and the arena, not into grinding mobs: normal monsters give nothing at all — no EXP, no SP and no drops. The level cap stays 130.

Who gives EXP

Uniques and Elites only

  • Only uniques and Elites give EXP and SP. Normal, champion, giant and party monsters give none — judged by the grade a monster spawned with, so an Elite a unique calls in pays.
  • Pets follow the same rule.
  • Only uniques drop items. Normal, champion, giant, Elite and party monsters drop nothing — quest items still drop.
  • The EXP rate is the official one. EXP scrolls, buffs, premium and events still multiply it.
  • Uniques give EXP along their honor ladder; Roc and Death Bone keep their own, bigger values.
New sources

Fight and trade for it

  • Arena kill: the EXP of one Elite of your level.
  • Completed trade: 350,000 EXP for every honor the sale pays — about 35 million for a full five-star run. Escorts get EXP for their share, and thieves at the Stolen Goods Dealer too.
  • Level gap: the official curve up to its peak (×1.39 for a monster 10 levels above you), and bigger gaps keep the peak instead of dropping away.
Trade EXP, roughly

The load, the road and the demand

Every sale pays 350,000 EXP per honor — so a fuller load, a longer road and goods a workshop is short of all pay more EXP. Rounded figures for one trader run:

Load (Jangan → Hotan)EXP
1 star · 7 goods~7 M
2 stars · 13 goods~14 M
3 stars · 20 goods~21 M
4 stars · 26 goods~27 M
5 stars · 33 goods~35 M
5 stars, by roadPlainWanted ×1.5
Constantinople ⇄ Alexandria~17 M—
Jangan ⇄ Donwhang~22 M—
Jangan ⇄ Hotan~35 M~52 M
Hotan ⇄ Constantinople~52 M~78 M
Jangan ⇄ Alexandria~77 M~115 M

"Wanted" = every good in the load is one the selling town's workshop is short of (the most it pays). Short hops never feed a workshop, so they only pay plain (—).

Chapter 7

Items & alchemy

The mall is free, alchemy is kinder, and the gacha tells you what you are rolling for.

Reinforcing is permanently +10%. Weapons, armour, shields and accessories succeed more often, and so do Magic, Rare and Legend upgrades — always, not just during an event.

Magic POP lets you choose. Pick the reward you want and roll for it. Premium POP, free in the mall, improves the odds.

Spirits have grades. Devil's and Angel's Spirits come as A, S and the new SS grade — more HP and block the higher you go, growing with the plus level.

Sockets, the honest way. Magic Stone of Sockets opens a socket; the stone's level is rolled when you fit it. Destruction Rondo — free in the mall — clears the socket for a fresh try.

Gori takes wheeled gear. The Equipment Exchange accepts wheeled armour and keeps its blues. It now keeps the white stats too — only durability is re-rolled.

Keep your whites. Upgrading an item to the next degree with an upgrade stone, and the Golden Shield conversion, keep the item's white stats.

Stat totals. Hover an item and a box beside the tooltip adds up its repeated blue options. The item in the alchemy window shows its full tooltip too.

The R3 Store sells Degree 15 gear, alchemy enhancers, attribute stones, socket stones and a free catalyst — and, in Hotan, the towns' Elements of Destruction.

Potions, scrolls and stacks

Spirits

Sabakun's jewel

Reinforces the Devil/Angel Spirit in the alchemy window. Every unique drops it now, and it stacks to 1,000. The new Premium Gear Lucky Powder (1 honor, Honor Points shop) works on Spirits of every grade.

Berserk

Hwan potions

Every berserk potion: 1-second cooldown, stacks to 1,000, and it can't be used while the gauge is already full — it stays in your bag. Dying in berserk no longer cuts the next berserk to a second.

Scrolls

Resurrection and return

A resurrection scroll works only 1 minute after you die — no instant comebacks mid-fight; its icon counts the 60 seconds down. The reverse return scroll has a 1-minute cooldown, and STR/INT scrolls cool down in 1 hour (was 24).

Stacks

Up to 1,000

Damage and defence scrolls, HP/MP increase potions, +50 STR/INT scrolls, resurrection and reverse return scrolls, globals, EXP/SP and dungeon tickets, Destruction Rondo, repair hammers, Fellow HP potions and the Feather Pen of Fortune.

Premium

Leftover time adds up

When your premium's days are over but EXP time is left, a new premium starts right away and the leftover minutes are added to it.

Good to know

Shops and safety

The arena's two identical shops are now one, the Honor Points shop. Awakening Enhancement Scrolls ("Devil scrolls") are gone — from every shop, and from every bag and storage at the update. Equipment never drops when a murderer dies or at a death penalty.

Chapter 8

The crafting window at the grocery NPCs (Jinjin, Bajel, Mamoje) now matches official iSRO.

Official recipes

The recipes cost 100M and 500M gold (official). Some recipes can fail.

Like official

The official 11 tabs

  • The official recipes are in, and the existing ones match official — socket stones use the Token Artisan's Magic Stone, the Shining Stone uses Blue and Black stones.
  • One Shining Stone recipe, like official.
  • The 36 RIGID-only recipes are gone.
Chapter 9

VIP

A badge beside your name, a rank buff in your bar and the VIP shelf in the item mall. One rank per account, to the 1st of next month. See the ranks.

Gold VIP or higher

Trading gear

  • Weapons, shields, armour and accessories can only be traded, dropped, put in a stall or put in guild storage by Gold VIP or higher — and in a trade, both players need it.
  • The same goes for Elements of Destruction and Sabakun's jewels.
  • Selling to an NPC is always allowed. Job suits, avatars and Devil Spirits aren't affected.
VIP mall

The Golden Shield

Gives a +12 Degree 15 shield the gold +15 glow, to match your weapon. It now asks you to confirm first, and the golden shield is account-bound like the other VIP mall items.

Upgrading mid-month costs only the difference, and a new rank reaches the game without a server restart — just log in again. No auto-renew.

Chapter 10

Controls & interface

More bars, any key, and a client that keeps quiet when it should.

Skill bars

Extended Slot 2 and 3

The 40-slot extended bar is now two bars of 20. Map both in the Additional Quick Slot window: any key, mouse buttons 3–5, the mouse wheel, with Shift, Ctrl or Alt. Keys the normal bar already uses can't be bound twice. Extended Slot 2 starts with no keys — bind your own.

Chinese

Imbue auto-recast

Set an imbue to recast itself the moment it runs out — switch it on or off from its quick slot; a frame marks the active one. You can turn the feature off in Options. An imbue is no longer swallowed right after death.

Camera

Zoom to fit the bosses

The camera zooms out far enough to see the biggest unique, no further. Ctrl + wheel zooms only if you bind it.

Background

Keeps drawing

"Show game play in inactive window" is on by default: the game keeps drawing when its window isn't focused.

Messages

No more floods

"Invalid target" and its relatives follow the Combat filter, and repeated error lines use the official 30-second repeat filter.

Tidy

Small things

The fatigue gauge is hidden. Your job rank title no longer overlaps your VIP badge. The temple world map shows the real temples, and missing minimap tiles are fixed.

Chapter 11

Avatars

Wings that fly, and spears held the right way.

Vampire

Always flies

With the Vampire wing accessory, running is flying — the wings flap and you're in the air.

Steam Punk

Flight by choice

The Steam Punk wings now flap. At the Blacksmith (avatar magic options) choose Flight to fly, and switch it off to walk again — free, always succeeds. The tooltip shows a yellow "Flight" line.

Chinese

A proper grip

Spears and glaives are no longer held at the very end of the shaft while flying, in Ghost Walk, at socket speed and when sitting.

Try-on

Every avatar

The web mall lists every permanent avatar, and the in-game Avatar & Pet Mall try-on window shows them all, whole sets together.

Chapter 12

Fixes

Joymax bugs we found and closed.

  • Knock-downs that hold — a knocked-down enemy stays down for the full time, so your follow-up stab lands.
  • No more lock-on — knocked down mid-skill, your character no longer stays stuck turning or sliding toward the target.
  • Fellow pets — monsters can no longer attack them, like pick pets.
  • Buff timers — buffs carried through a teleport or a death keep their true remaining time.
  • Big bosses — no longer vanish on screen; their skills now match their level.
  • Temples — rooms open again, and the Haroeris and Seth treasure boxes keep their loot.
  • Arena badge — no empty frame beside its tooltip.
  • Baghdad — entering no longer crashes the game; its gates and trade NPCs are right again.
  • Pets and huge kills — a Death Bone kill no longer wipes your pet's EXP.
  • Buffs — restoring buffs after a teleport can no longer stack the same buff twice.
  • Launcher — no stray text in the small download bar.
Chapter 13

Questions

The ones that come up most. Anything else — ask in Discord.

The game cannot connect after an update

Start through the launcher and let it finish patching. Starting sro_client.exe directly skips the patch.

Why can't I trade my weapon?

Equipment, Elements and Sabakun's jewels change hands only between players with Gold VIP or higher — both sides of the trade. Selling to an NPC is always allowed.

Where do I buy Elements of Destruction?

At the R3 Store in Hotan (made by the town workshops) and from the Stolen Goods Dealer in Thief Town (made by the den forge): 1 honor each, Ctrl+Click buys up to 100 at once.

My caravan died — is my run lost?

No. The goods stay on the ground for 10 minutes: summon a new caravan and pick them up. They still pay when you sell.

Why can't I enter Thief Town?

It is for thieves in the Thief suit only — gates, scroll and teleport turn everyone else away.

Why did the boss walk away?

Uniques can't be pulled more than 100 range from home. Past that they walk back with their health intact.

When is Fortress War?

Thursday and Sunday, 18:00–20:00 server time (UTC).

My banner is not found

The file name must match your exact character name: Banner\YourName_1.png and _2.png in your Silkroad folder. Or use banner_1.png and banner_2.png — they work for every character.

The install stops at about 56% and says "connection lost"

Download the newest installer (1.3.1 or later) from your profile and run it into the same folder — it continues where it stopped, no full re-download.

The Item Mall says "client is damaged"

A file the mall needs (SRWB.dll) is missing from your game folder — almost always taken by antivirus. Run the installer again into the same folder and it puts it back.

Windows Defender flags SRO_Client.exe

A false positive on the patched client. Restore the file from quarantine and add an exclusion for your R3SPECT game folder, then start the launcher again.

The game stutters every couple of seconds outside town

It happens when the client starts with sound switched off. Turn sound on and off again in the options — or leave it on — and the stutter goes.

"Already executed" when I also play official iSRO

Both games use the same launcher lock. Patch iSRO first and close its launcher, then start R3SPECT.

Where do my item mall purchases go?

To the Item Storage box in game. Stackable items arrive in full stacks. The box holds up to 200 unclaimed items, so collect them as you go.

Why won't my starter pack open?

The pack levels your Fellow with you, so it needs one out: buy a Fellow pet and summon it, make sure your character has a job, then open the red box again — the Confirm button lights up.

Can I move mall alchemy items to my other characters?

Yes — through your storage, between characters on the same account. They are account-bound, so they cannot go to a different account.

Do status-resist blues work in PvP?

They count for a quarter against players. Duplicate lines on one item do stack.
